Is this fair judgement?

250,000 children under the age of 18 have been denied access to treatment for mental health issues after being referred by their GP.

I will say I am not in the least surprised by these figures but, what really struck me was the ‘judgement’ to who was lucky enough to get treatment. Because the bar is so high, those judgements are getting harder and harsher resulting in complaints from all directions and some, needing support, abandoning the process. Without doubt, misery, self harm, attempted suicide and indeed suicide is increasing alarmingly!

Unfortunately, Mental Health isn’t something you can ‘judge’ on how bad it is can we! Those deep inner struggles are often hidden by the people who are reaching or at the critical ‘crisis’ point. I have seen on a personal level, the apparently, happy, funny, strong, confident person hide their struggles with tragic results.

Would I have ‘judged’ that they needed treatment before anyone else?

Absolutely not.
